With a month to Founder's Day, we are happy to unveil The Grand En-Devour, an ACS 135 Gustatory Journey.
The ACSOBA has partnered with 5 ACSian-owned establishments to offer specially curated selections for you to enjoy in your own home or to perhaps send to loved ones as a celebratory gesture for ACS135. Orders are open from now to February 15th, 2021. Delivery from February 20th to March 1st 2021 (inclusive). SM Pang of New Ubin Seafood and Garang Grill, Jeremy Nguee of Preparazzi, Mark Tay of Sunday Punch, Melissa Woo of Patissier Woo, Li Ping and Hans Loh of Sogurt and KARA Cafe and Dessert Bar have collaborated to present the thought-provoking 'Grand En-Devour' that evokes school time recollections and simple daydreams. Assembly Garang Set (Good for 5 pax) Celebrating the 135th Founder's of ACS. New Ubin Seafood is proud to collaborate with 3 ACSians - Jeremy Nguee (ACS 97), Edmund Tang (ACS 89) and Adrian Tay (ACS 89) to present the following offering: 1. Golden Treasure Nuggets Edmund's family used to have their own restaurant called -Pot Luck Eating House大鸿运 . One of their signature dishes was this Dish "Pearl Oyster合宝还珠". Fresh prawns was combined with dried Japanese Hokkaido Oysters was combined with freshly made salted egg yolk wrapped in pork caul, ala the Nonya dish Hati Babi, then fried till golden brown ala. Very Tasty! 2. Stir Fried Fish Maw & Sea Cucumber with Spinach For this dish we collaborated with Alvin Tay to import in the freshest fish maw and sea cucumber to create a dish of exceptional quality. 3. Chinchalok Sambal Bee Hoon A uniquely New Ubin Seafood creation. It combines Bee hoon, egg & beansprout in our proprietary Chincalok sambal. This dish is a harmony of textures and unique flavours and wok hei. 4. USDA 'Choice' Ribeye with Heart Attack Fried Rice & wedges One of the dishes which placed New Ubin on the culinary map, the rib-eye is grilled to perfection, rested & then cubed. Served together with caramelised onions, Idaho potato wedges, house-smoked sea salt flakes & fried rice caramelised with beef drippings (also known as ‘heart attack’ fried rice) 5. Kaya Toast with French Butter A favourite amongst our regulars, a perfect end to a perfect meal. We have elevated a simple Kopitiam evergreen to new heights through the use of the best unsalted French butter, Baguette and artisanal Kaya.
